The strange close understanding between twins is a familiar enough phenomenon.Often they seem to understand each other and share each other’s emotions to such an extent that one suspects some kind of thought communication. When my daughter first began competing in school chess tournaments, I often chatted with other parents. Sometimes, I' d ask if they played chess themselves. Usually, the reply was no.
